The Church of Christ is Dedicated to the restoration of the New Testament Church.
By Accepting the New Testament Authority.
Our authority is Jesus, God Said "Hear ye Him." (Matt. 17:5)
Jesus claimed," All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth," (Matt.28:18)
By Following the New Testament Plan of Salvation.
Faith- "But without faith it is impossible to please Him."(Heb. 11:6)
Repentence- "Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."(Lk.13:3.)
Confession- "With the mouth confession is made unto salvation."(Rom.10:10)
Baptism- "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved."(Mark16:16)
By Wearing the New Testament Names.
For Individuals- "The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch."(Acts 11:26)
For Church-" The churches of Christ salute you."(Romans 16:16)
By Observing The New Testament Communion.
"Do this in remembrance of me."(Luke22:19)
"Upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together
to break bread......"(Acts 20:7; I Cor. 11:28)
By Practicing the New Testament Stewardship.
"Even so (as in Old Testament times--(Malachi 3:10) hath the Lord ordained that
they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel." (I Cor. 9:14.)
"Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store,
as God hath prospered him."(I Cor.16:2.)
By living the New Testament Life.
"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers." (Act 2:42.)
"Grow in grace." (II Peter 1:5-10 ; 3:18)
"Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life." (Rev.2:10)
By Preaching the New Testament Gospel.
"But though we, an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than
that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."
(Galations 1:8 ; Mark 16:15)
It is not our mission to be another denomination, but rather to urge all
people to return to the simple plan of God. It is our plea that
this is a solution to the problems that confront a divided Christendom.
